Band update - some gigs coming up

Well one reason for doing this was to update people about the bands - so here goes.

Duo - the duo's got no gigs booked at the moment. We did a gig down at the Starcross Sailing club earlier in the year - that was good fun. In fact it's always fun doing the duo gigs, so maybe we'll have to get some more sorted out!! (we've got to stop calling the duo "piglet")

"Wild Bob & the Mustangs" - (the name is Tim's idea - Bob & I were quite happy with "the Tim Royce band" - since he does most of the work). Over the last couple of months I've been looking for a band where I can play bass again - and hopefully do some vocals. It's been about 10 years since I last played bass in a band - and it's actually the way I started for my 1st ever gig. I met up with Tim Royce, Bob and Jay over the last few weeks - and it works pretty good. Good raw blues - with a touch of country. (catch Tim doing his solo act too)
Thursday 10th August 2006 - Volunteer, Sidmouth
Friday 25th August 2006 - Exeter Arms, Modbury
Saturday 26th August 2006 - Volunteer, Honiton
Sunday 27th August 2006 - Twisted Oak, Exeter

"HOG" - yup, the "Happy Old Gits" are starting up again as well. Terry was asked by Honiton CC if we would do it - so we thought we'd relaunch and put together some more gigs. The same mix of older popular covers from mid-50s to mid 90's - Phil and I always have a good time at these gigs, and it's like family these days working with Terry and Phil B.

Saturday 23rd September 2006 - Honiton Conservative Club
