Pirates

Went to see "Pirates 2" last night in Sidmouth. The folk festival was in full swing - nice to bump into people you know. After the film went to check out the pub we're playing this thursday. An accoustic trio "Freak Brothers" were playing - got a shock as one of the guys was Brian Stephens from Teignmouth. Brian and I had played in a band back in the early 90's - nice guy - need to meet again and catch up some more. Also bumped into Phil and Annette - Phil's tuesday gig at the Anchor with "K-Zee" had gone well. Also met Dave who used to run the Golden Lion and other pubs - he's packed it all in - he'll be 60 on the saturday over the august bank hol, but I'm playing that night - it's a shame I can't go to his do.
